Jaars Center

In the wake of the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, our hearts grieve for the victims, and we are grateful for our strategic location and deep familiarity with the affected communities. While we are not a relief organization, our aviation and transportation capabilities allow us to respond swiftly and effectively, as we do in some of the most remote regions of the world.

Over the past week, JAARS has been actively involved in operations including aid delivery, search and rescue, and reconnaissance. Working closely with our partners and utilizing both air and ground transport, we have been able to carry out hundreds of flights and deliver hundreds of thousands of pounds of cargo to those in need. These efforts have been made possible by the generous and timely support of our donors. We remain committed to ensuring that every dollar donated is directed toward supporting the relief effort.

At this point, we are beginning to transition frontline operations to humanitarian relief organizations that specialize in natural disaster response, while continuing to offer support from behind the scenes. We will conclude the acceptance of donations for Hurricane Helene disaster relief on Monday, October 7, at 8:00 a.m.

If you would like to support or learn more about the ongoing work of JAARS around the world, you can explore our website here.

If you would like to contribute to the relief effort past October 7 at 8:00 am, we encourage you to support our partner organization, Samaritan’s Purse, at samaritanspurse.org

Please continue to pray for the victims of Hurricane Helene, asking our gracious heavenly Father to provide healing and safety to those in western North Carolina.
