GOD IS WORKING!
God’s heart is for all nations to know him (Psalm 22:27), but there are still many in difficult-to-reach places who have not heard the gospel. The Lord is providing so that together, we can open new fields overseas to reach them!
Recently, Samaritan’s Purse, a longtime friend of JAARS, contacted our president, Steve Russell, with their desire to gift us with a Bell 206 LongRanger helicopter. This aircraft arrived at JAARS Base earlier this summer and will be put to use somewhere in the green band rainforest region that stretches across the globe—to relay the gospel to unreached people.
What a great gift!
Last month, a Cessna 208 Caravan, also gifted to JAARS by Samaritan’s Purse, landed at JAARS. This aircraft, which we have been praying for, will be ferried overseas. There, it will be used by JAARS-trained aviators at YAJASI, our aviation partner in Papua, Indonesia.
Our mechanics are currently refurbishing both aircraft, preparing them for their service overseas. The Caravan, after receiving engine diagnostics by our mechanics, was flown to Ohio where modifications will be made to the aircraft, such as adding a cargo pod so it will more effectively serve people in its new location. We are in awe of what God has done through Samaritan’s Purse to reach those who live within the green band rainforest regions. And we know that this is just the beginning.
You, too, are a vital partner in opening previously unreached places with the gospel!
