Vision Flights

Your chance to actually fly an airplane! Vision Flights are offered every Thursday morning for individuals age 12–21 years.

In July of 2021, JAARS held its first ‘Night at the Museum’ (NATM) since Covid shut down all pubic gatherings. This first event was open to JAARS staff only, with plans to open to the general public later in the year.

NATM is an event at the JAARS Alphabet Museum, where attendees hear stories from five different characters as they come to life during the mysterious night hours (modeled after the Night at the Museum movie)- stories of how God has worked in people’s lives through Bible Translation. Some of the characters include Uncle Cameron Townsend, Chief Tariri- a Shapra head hunter from Peru, pilot Betty Greene and Jean-François Champollion who was a French scholar, philologist and orientalist, known primarily as the decipherer of Egyptian hieroglyphs and a founding figure in the field of Egyptology.

Here, visitors gather around as Hayley Potter (far right) concludes the evening with a few words.

Night at the Alphabet Museum

Come experience excitement and fun as you find out what happens at the Museum of the Alphabet at night. What will you see? What will you hear?
